Kerala PSC Computer Assistant Grade II Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for Universities in Kerala

Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Computer Assistant Grade II in various Universities across Kerala. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the Kerala PSC Thulasi portal after completing One Time Registration (OTR).

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess all the following qualifications:

• SSLC or equivalent qualification.
• Higher Grade Certificate in Typewriting (English) (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing or equivalent qualification.
• Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting (Malayalam) (KGTE) or equivalent qualification.

Candidates who passed KGTE Typewriting before January 2002 should possess a separate Computer Word Processing certificate or equivalent qualification at the time of application.

Only Government-issued Typewriting certificates will be accepted as proof of qualification. Certificates issued by private Typewriting Institutes alone will not be accepted.

Age Limit

Method of Appointment

Selection will be through Direct Recruitment. Kerala PSC will prepare a common ranked list for all participating Universities in Kerala. Candidates need to submit only one application, and appointments will be made according to vacancies reported by the respective Universities.

Probation

Candidates selected for appointment will be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.

Reservation

Four percent of the total vacancies reported will be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the applicable Government Orders.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission through Direct Recruitment. If the number of applications received is large, Kerala PSC may conduct a Written Test, OMR Test, or Online Examination. Candidates shortlisted from the examination will be called for certificate verification before the final ranked list is published.

Common Ranked List

Kerala PSC will prepare a single common ranked list for all Universities covered under this notification. Candidates need to submit only one application. Appointments will be made based on the order in which vacancies are reported by the participating Universities and according to the candidate's rank, reservation, and rotation rules.

If a candidate is appointed in one University and later relieved due to non-availability of vacancies, he or she may become eligible for reappointment in another participating University as per Kerala PSC rules.
