Keralam Museum Recruitment 2026 – Apply for Project Trainee, DTP Operator, Binder & Laskar Cum Cleaner Posts

Keralam Museum of History & Heritage (KMHC), functioning under the Department of Archives, Government of Kerala, has invited applications for various temporary project-based positions for the financial year 2026-27. The recruitment is being conducted for multiple heritage conservation, archival digitization, document preservation, and records management projects across Kerala.

Candidates with qualifications ranging from 10th Pass to Post Graduation can apply for these opportunities. The appointments are purely temporary for a period of 8 months. Interested candidates should submit the prescribed application form along with supporting documents before the last date.

Category I – Reference Media Project

Applications are invited for Project Trainee positions under the Reference Media Project for Paper Records and Palm Leaf Records preservation activities. The project duration is 8 months.

Qualification – Paper Records

• Degree from a recognized University.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Archival Studies, Archaeology, Museology, Conservation or related subjects (Desirable).

Qualification – Palm Leaf Records

• MA Manuscriptology.
• One year experience in Vattezhuthu, Kolezhuthu, Malayalam, Tamil or related manuscript transcription work (Desirable).

Category II – Scientific Conservation of Records

Applications are invited for Project Trainee and Supervisor positions under the Scientific Conservation of Records Project.

Supervisor Qualification

• Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry.
• Diploma in Archival Studies or Conservation.
• Minimum 5 years experience in conservation work in a recognized institution.
• OR 10 years relevant conservation experience.

Project Trainee Qualification

• Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry.
• Diploma in Archival Studies or Conservation (Desirable).

Category III – DTP Operator

Qualification:

• Plus Two Pass.
• KGTE Typewriting Lower English & Malayalam.
• KGTE Computer Word Processing.
• DTP Certificate Course from a recognized institution.
• Relevant work experience is desirable.

Category IV – Binder

Qualification:

• SSLC Pass or equivalent qualification.
• NCVT Certificate in Book Binding.
• OR Kerala Government Technical Examination in Book Binding (Lower).
• OR MGTE (Lower) qualification.

Category V – Laskar Cum Cleaner

Qualification:

• 10th Pass.
• Higher qualifications will not be considered.

Important Conditions

• Appointments are purely temporary and project-based.
• Project duration is 8 months.
• Candidates may be posted anywhere in Kerala based on project requirements.
• No claim for permanent appointment will arise from this engagement.
• Selected candidates must comply with all conditions prescribed by Keralam Museum.
