The International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS), an autonomous institution under the Government of Kerala, has announced a walk-in interview for recruiting professionals under the GoI Project – "Fostering Equity in Science Classrooms Adaptive Tools for Visually Challenged Learners". Eligible engineering graduates with relevant experience can attend the interview on the scheduled date.

This recruitment offers contract-based opportunities for candidates with Electronics, Instrumentation, and Mechanical Engineering backgrounds. Selected candidates will work on an innovative assistive technology project focused on developing adaptive devices for visually challenged learners.

Experience Required

Technical Assistant Minimum 6 months of relevant experience
Project Associate-I Minimum 18 months of relevant experience

Technical Skills

Technical Assistant

  • Experience in designing and developing adaptive electronic devices.
  • Knowledge of Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
  • Ability to design and prototype electronic circuits for adaptive devices.

Project Associate-I

  • Design and development of adaptive electronic devices.
  • Hands-on experience with Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
  • PCB design and prototype development.
  • Troubleshooting electronic circuits independently.

Project Associate-II

  • 3D Design and Modeling.
  • Fabrication and development of adaptive devices.
  • Good working knowledge of CAD software.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Ability to conduct independent literature reviews.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Braille standards or Braille-enabled device development will be an added advantage.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted through a direct walk-in interview. Candidates should bring all original educational certificates, experience certificates, passport-size photograph, updated resume, and one set of photocopies for verification.
