Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must carefully ensure that they satisfy the eligibility requirements before applying.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Candidates in the final year or final semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of passing the examination on or before 30 September 2026. Engineering graduates, Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, and candidates from other professional streams are also eligible.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be appointed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I.

Apart from the basic salary, officers will be eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund, National Pension System (NPS), Medical Benefits, Leave Fare Concession (LFC), Lease Rental Facility, and other benefits as per bank rules.

Selection Process

The SBI PO selection process consists of three phases:

Phase I – Preliminary Examination

Phase II – Main Examination

The Main Examination includes Objective Tests and a Descriptive Test covering Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis, Banking Awareness, English Language, Communication Skills, Report Writing, Precis Writing, and Situation Analysis.

Phase III

• Psychometric Test
• Group Exercise
• Personal Interview

The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview process. Preliminary Examination marks will not be considered for final selection.
