Key Duties and Responsibilities

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of baggage and cargo. Your primary duties will include: * Operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE) such as tugs, tractors, dollies, and belt loaders. * Conducting pre-operational inspections of equipment to ensure safety and reporting any mechanical issues. * Sorting, loading, and unloading baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. * Adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set by Etihad Airport Services and regulatory authorities. * Monitoring cargo areas for missing or damaged items and maintaining high levels of security. * Using handheld devices to track and manage ground operations accurately.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the role: * License: A valid UAE driver’s license is mandatory. * Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in airport ground services or a logistics-related field. * Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor and handle heavy baggage in a fast-paced environment. * Flexibility: Capability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays. * Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of aviation safety protocols and procedures.
