As a Ramp Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and inspiring a team tasked with the loading and unloading of aircraft deadload. Your role will be key in ensuring effective coordination, strict adherence to safety protocols, and efficient execution of aircraft turnaround processes in a high-pressure operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Loading Operations:
Take full responsibility for the secure and compliant loading and unloading of aircraft deadload, ensuring alignment with all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Lead and Support the Team:
Act as the central point of contact for ramp staff, guiding and motivating the team to maintain coordination, productivity, and proactive performance during aircraft turnaround.
Ensure Safety Compliance:
Foster a strong safety culture by identifying potential hazards or incidents and reporting them promptly to management in accordance with company procedures.
Manage Operational Integrity:
Conduct inspections of aircraft contact areas during arrival and departure, promptly reporting any damage or abnormalities to the duty manager.
Facilitate Communication and Reporting:
Lead team briefings, ensure effective communication across all operational levels, and accurately complete all required reports and documentation.
Promote Coordination and Efficiency:
Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth, timely, and efficient turnaround operations while maintaining consistency across departments.
Education & Experience Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in airline or airport operations is essential.
A valid UAE driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates with prior leadership experience in ground operations or ramp handling will be given preference.
